Testing Services

Utilizing molecular techniques, we provide services such as GMO testing, shrimp virus detection, allergen testing, and the testing of bacterial pathogens. Our laboratory is equipped with analytical instruments like Real- PCR machine ( q- PCR), End point PCR machine, Centrifuge, Biophotometer, ELISA Reader, Gel Documentation System and PCR machines for pathogen detection.

Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) Testing

  • Description: GMOs are organisms whose genetic makeup has been altered using genetic engineering or transgenic technology. GM foods are derived from these modifications.
  • Method: PCR testing is a rapid and cost-effective method for GMO screening.
  • Matrices Tested: Our NABL-accredited laboratory conducts GM testing in cereals, pulses, fruits, vegetables, cotton, and coffee.

Allergen Testing

  • Description: Allergens can pose health risks, affecting up to 5% of the global population. Detecting allergens in food is crucial for safety and labeling.
  • Method: PCR techniques provide quick and definitive results by detecting allergens at a molecular level.
  • Allergens Tested: We offer q-PCR-based allergen tests for Peanut, Gluten, and Celery in spices, cereals, fruits, vegetables, and related products.

Shrimp Viral Pathogen Testing

  • Description: Screening for shrimp viral pathogens is essential in aquaculture to minimize disease risks and enhance production.
  • Method: Our laboratory follows international standards and employs experienced analysts to test for pathogens like WSSV, IHHNV, TSV, YHV, IMNV, PVNV, and AHPND (EMS).

Bacterial Pathogen Testing

  • Description: Fast and cost-effective PCR testing is utilized to detect bacterial food pathogens.
  • Pathogens Tested: We offer q PCR Testing and PCR testing for significant food pathogens such as Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella spp, Shigella spp and Listeria spp reducing the testing time compared to traditional culture methods.

Hepatitis A and Enterovirus Testing in Water

  • Description: Detecting Hepatitis A and Enterovirus in water is essential for safety and compliance with IS 10500 standards for drinking water.
  • Method: We offer a PCR-based testing service to detect Hepatitis A and Enterovirus in water samples, ensuring water safety.

Detection of Legionella spp in Water Samples

  • Description: Legionella is a genus of pathogenic gram-negative bacteria that includes the species L. pneumophila, causing Legionellosis (all illnesses caused by Legionella) including a pneumonia-type illness called Legionnaires’ disease and a mild flu-like illness called Pontiac fever.
  • Method: We offer a q-PCR-based testing service to detect Legionella spp in order to assess the potential risk of Legionella  bacterial contamination in water samples
